What is the Engagement Center?

The Engagement Center is a group of about 100+ students at the University of Minnesota Foundation that engage with alumni and friends of the University through various communication channels including calling, texting, and emailing. Engagement projects include fundraising for the benefit of current University students and programs, RSVPs and event reminders, thanking donors for their gifts, and sharing new information about colleges and campuses.

Who do students contact?

Student Development Representatives contact alumni and friends of the University of Minnesota. Each person that is contacted already has an affiliation with the University. We engage on behalf of most academic departments, athletics, libraries, and several other areas of the University.

Why do we reach out?

All through the University’s history, alumni and friends have provided financial support to ensure the U’s quality and accessibility for students. Student Development Representatives work to engage with alumni and friends to make sure they stay connected with the University.
